When Tired & Old Becomes Inspiring & Fresh
When North Hertfordshire College embarked on the new venture of establishing SITEC – (Stevenage Innovation & Technology Centre) the target was to breathe new life to an old and slightly tired campus building with window and wall graphics and various signage.
SITEC aims to provide an inspiring space for local people to learn the skill sets, knowledge and experience to enhance their careers within the Stevenage Technical and Manufacturing (STEM) sector.
Following on from two site visits to conduct detailed measurements, Resource was then tasked to work closely with the in-house marketing team at the College to bring their designs to life.
Once production was completed at the Resource factory, our team spent 4 days on site, taking meticulous care that every aspect of the job was installed and displayed perfectly.
Product Specification for this project was…
- Diabond with anti-graffiti lamination
- Drytac Deco Clear Vinyl with anti-graffiti lamination
- Ultratac White Vinyl with anti-graffiti lamination
- White & Blue Acrylic
With all the graphics and signs being installed in public areas, the desire to keep it’s pristine delivered condition was high, so using a clear lamination acted as an easy clean of any graffiti or dirty marks.
Heather Almond – Head of Marketing and Communications, commented,
“This project has transformed what was a dull and tired space within our campus into one we’re proud to showcase to our students and visitors to the site. The design is all encompassing starting at the entrance to the site and flowing through to the building and all floors.
“Working with Resource Print was a pleasure. Their professional outlook, creative eye and wealth of experience allowed us to take a simple vision and turn it into something which exceeded our expectations. They brought new concepts, innovative design and an eye for ensuring the perfect finishing touches, ensuring that we were provided with an impactful and appealing finished design.”
